Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

It is really bad for America to let it be said around the world that we can’t afford to defend ourselves. And if we keep continuously saying it, it’s going to make people take advantage of you.

I agree with the caller. The Black Panthers shouldn’t be in the program, period. They are a sign of a gang that hates whites. And by the way, I am black.

With the epidemic of daytime burglaries in Hinesville, why not bring back the CSU units? I don’t care what color the culprits are. I just know they’re criminals and they need to be off the streets.

There are several hundred ordinances that are violated by thousands of people in this city. Yet the court enforcement department seems to only focus on piles of tree limbs and yard-sale fines.
