I’m a first-time caller, and I just want to go on record supporting the Chick-fil-A public stance on same-sex marriage. I know you all gave it a thumbs’ down, but I just want to go on record as supporting them. I think it was awesome that a big business would take a stand like that.

My home is on the Do Not Call list, but every afternoon we get calls at 5 and then 6 o’clock. And sometimes during the day, you can’t take a nap here and we’re up in age. But the next time we get a call, my husband is going to say, “This is a funeral home — no one can speak to you now.”

I don’t know why the commissioners running in Long County are not just listed by the family name, rather than the individual. Because they have the entire family on the taxpayers’ dime almost immediately.

I had a friend go up to the Family Dollar and ask for an application and was turned down because they found out she lived in Ludowici. They said, “It doesn’t matter, we will not hire anybody from Ludowici; if you live in Jesup or Hinesville, we will hire you, but not from Ludowici.”
