To Mrs. Carolyn Smith Carter: I was at the board meeting, and I am very interested in you. I noticed that you have been considerate of the teachers in all. I saw where you asked if teachers helped create the calendar; we have never had a board member ask to have a teacher be on that committee and make recommendations. Thank you for being interested in your job.

Yes, I want to send a shout-out to Long County Sheriff’s department. For once, I actually saw a deputy actually pull over some kids on a four-wheeler and tell them what the law is: either park it, ride it on private property or get it impounded. That makes me glad.

I’m calling to report that I saw three people actually riding the Liberty Transit system at Walmart. Just to let the community know, there are three people that use this service.
