These opinions are not the Courier’s. Callers are not required to identify themselves, so we can neither verify sources nor their motives. Call 876-3733.

This is in reference to the caller about the property behind Lowe’s. First of all, Hinesville doesn’t own that property. Secondly, that property has been sitting there, for years and years, vacant with the owner paying taxes, and I’m sure the owner has received an excellent offer for his property, or he’s decided to develop it himself. What would you do if you owned the property?

In response to the callers about the Long County teacher of the year, what’s the big deal? Have you not gotten over not winning homecoming queen in high school? Maybe you’ll get it next year during her fifth year of teaching. At least you admitted she was pretty.

Why did Lewis Frasier send report cards out without putting whether the students were promoted? Is there something going on that the parents should know about?

I want to thank the Coastal Courier and the HPD for the article that was put at the front page of the Sunday paper. I would recommend that an article like that should be put in each issue of the Coastal Courier on the front page. It’s education to people that move into the area that don’t know it or those that never learned it or those that forgot it. It’s a service to the community of Hinesville.

Congratulations to all the eighth-graders that passed and are going into ninth grade. Just remember to read a lot and you will become smarter and smarter.
