Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

This is pertaining to the shelter. I appreciate what they do with our animals, trying to find good homes for them. Anyone wanting to say anything about how they adopt animals should talk to them.

The residents at Eagles Landing, we like the way our sign looks. If you don’t live there, then don’t make any comments about our subdivision.

A person who cheats on their spouse will lie about anyone and everyone. They want to make themselves look better.

If Americans weren’t too lazy to work would there be jobs for illegal aliens?

Hey, the new road between Highway 84 and Richmond Hill is really great and we appreciate it. The speed limit on it is 55 mph. What gets me, in the morning going to work obeying the speed limit people speed, come up and pass you even on curves and no passing zones. Then they slow down just to aggravate you. We need law enforcement out there.
