This morning, Wednesday, Oct. 23, Dr. McCain performed a colonoscopy on me at Liberty Regional Medical Center. In my 66 years, it was the most professional treatment I’ve ever had in my life — courteous, professional, knowledgeable and everything. I couldn’t have asked for nicer people right here in Hinesville at Liberty Regional Medical Center.

As a citizen of Long County, I feel that Long County Board of Education members should think about doing away with sports at the middle-grade level. I feel that at Long County Middle School, sports have become more important than academics. I feel that when Liberty County is doing away with sports next year at the middle-grade level, Long County will have an overflow of kids coming from Liberty County over into Long County to play sports. I feel that the Long County Board of Education members should think about this seriously. How much money will we save not paying the coaches? Please, please, Long County Board of Education members, please think about this. Please do not have sports at the Long County Middle School level next year. Do like Liberty County — do away with it.

I am just wondering, how many residents of the Hinesville community have seen just how terrible some of our food establishments are in this town? There are a great number of good and decent places of business in this town that cater and give good, quality food service. But I have to say that there are some in this town that are just downright despicable.

To the caller in regards to the editorial page on Wednesday, where they recommended TRICARE for Life be put into Obamacare: TRICARE for Life is part of Obamacare under the new law. You might want to do a little research before you go to making statements.
