Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:
I’d like to know what all these buses are doing running back-to-back up and down the road with these ghost riders in them. Haven’t they heard America is in short supply of fuel? And our tax dollars don’t need to be paying for something that’s useless.
It’s like football, you get hit this way, but not this way. Like war. Sherman brought war to the men, women, children of the South, and their property. And that’s how they won the war.
I’m a citizen of Walthourville and we need a new mayor and police chief. The city would be just fine then.
I want to congratulate President Bush for being perfect and the fact he never went around campaigning for other candidates. He never spent any tax money traveling around campaigning.
I disagree with the caller who thanked Obama for seniors not getting raises. Obama is a great president. In the end, he will bring this country to great prosperity and I’m looking forward to everyone being proved wrong.
