Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Well, thank you Obama, the seniors are not getting a raise and those are poor people, and now I understand EIC, people for children, are not going to get that money this year. You’re really doing a good job for the poor people. You’re really thinking about us.

God is not a Democratic or Republican club. He’s like rainbow colors, not just blue and red. Evangelicals are not always viewed in a very good light.

I went to the Midway City Hall Wednesday afternoon to vote early. Got there before closing, but was turned away. The only thing missing there is the two guys in berets and carrying night sticks.

Well, when everybody votes I just want you to remember Congress has been out campaigning, they’re not working until after the election and Obama’s been out flying around spending millions campaigning for others.
