Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know if they are true, nor what motivated the callers:

OK, Riceboro mayor, I woke up this morning, Thursday, to find out that our street has been closed without any notice to the public or residents of this street. Why weren’t the citizens who pay our taxes faithfully were not notified?


I don’t think it’s right, board of education, that you wouldn’t let the veterans use that building. They just wanted to use it temporarily. Board members, the schools don’t belong to you. It belongs to all of us.

I’d like to thank John Corigan for his letter about uniforms not paying off in schools. It’s really costing me. My kids not only go to school, they also attend church and other events. The stores are not selling those clothes at reasonable prices.
