Hinesville will celebrate Georgia Cities Week April 22-28 with a variety of events coordinated with this year’s theme, “Georgia Cities in the Spotlight:”
• April 22: Hinesville Police Department’s Coffee with a Cop, 8-10 a.m. at McDonald’s on Highway 196 and 10 a.m.-noon at McDonald’s on Highway 84.

• April 23: Hinesville Fire Department’s Car Seat Safety Check, 9 a.m.-noon at Fire Station 1, 103 Liberty St.
• April 24: Sweet Tea Party with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce/CVB, 1-3 p.m. in the lobby of Hinesville City Hall.
• April 24: Social Media Power Hour with Brittany Denney and Leah Poole, 4-5 p.m. on the third floor of Hinesville City Hall.

• April 25: P.C. Simonton and Associates Open House, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the third floor of Hinesville City Hall.
• April 26: United Way’s Read Across Liberty. Register at www.signupgenius.com/go/60b084aaeab23a4fa7-read.
• April 26: Progress Through People Luncheon featuring the mayor’s state of the city address, noon-1 p.m. at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center. RSVP required.

• April 27: Hinesville Employee Recognition, 11:30 a.m. at Hinesville City Hall.
• April 28: The Great American Cleanup, 8:30 a.m.-noon, start at Bradwell Park.
This is the 19th year Georgia Cities Week has been celebrated in the state.
