Fort King George State Historic Site will offer an Intro to Kayaking class from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22.

The park is at 302 McIntosh Road, SE in Darien. The class costs $25 and is open to people 12 and older who are able to swim.

In the class, rangers will teach the basics of kayaking and take paddlers out on Black Island Creek. Equipment is provided. Bring water and sunscreen, and wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting wet.
