Start Labor Day weekend off with a bang and enjoy First Friday Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 2 on Savannah’s River Street, followed by two days of arts, crafts, food, drink and entertainment.
On Saturday and Sunday, Rousakis Plaza visitors can browse booths set up by artisans selling crafts, fine art, Italian ices, kettle corn and other treats. Coke products and adult beverages also will be available.
The fourth annual Savannah Craft Brew Fest will be under way right across the river on Hutchinson Island at the International Trade and Convention Center. This year’s event will feature offerings from more than 45 breweries, live music, food and contests for professional and home brewers, which will include local and national judges to test the competing brews.
Back across the river, children can enjoy a “fun zone” set up in front of the Exchange Tavern and Savannah’s Candy Kitchen.
At 7 p.m., The Variations will give a live performance.
River Street’s Labor Day Celebration is free and open to the public.
