The Live Oak Libraries summer reading program, a journey to “Build A Better World”!  is  now entertaining young readers at a library near you.

Visit any Live Oak Public Libraries branch to pick up reading logs, calendars and rules. Earn exciting rewards and entries for the Grand Prize. Register your child online.

With engaging activities for preschoolers, elementary students, and teens, anyone can build a better world.

Kids can earn special prizes for reaching their summer reading goals.

Reading Rewards include passes, discounts and free treats from:

Barnes and Noble at the Oglethorpe Mall, Frames-n-Games in Pooler, Get Air Savannah, Leopold’s Ice Cream, Lovin’ Spoons Self-Serve FroYo, Monkey Joe’s Savannah, Oatland Island Wildlife Center, Papa John’s Pizza, Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, Tybee Island Marine Science Center and the University of Georgia Aquarium.

Complete all levels to earn VIP Reader status and a gold library card. Eligible participants also have a chance to win a grand prize in each age group: a gift card or Coastal Heritage Society membership.

Learn the way traditional Spanish flamenco dancing interprets a story. Ages 5 and up.

Jack & Kitty
 July 3 - 8
From Emmy award winning “The Zinghoppers Show,” songs appealing to all ages.

Rosie Revere
 June 14 - July 31
Imagine, experiment and make a Rosie-Copter fly. Grades K-5

Check with your local library on the dates featured artists and programs will be at your library.
Summer camps and daycares are welcome, but groups of more than 10 must contact their library branch and register in advance to ensure enough space and materials for everyone.
