Fort King George in Darien has set its Junior Ranger Day Camp for June 12-16.

It will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the recreated colonial era fort, 302 McIntosh Road, Darien. It costs $60 per camper until June 5 and registration is required. Later registration costs $65.

Children, ages 8-12, will be outdoors working toward earning a junior ranger badge. Junior rangers will experience nature first-hand during recreational activities and educational programs specific to Coastal Georgia.

“This year’s camp theme is ‘SOAK IT IN!’,” Park Ranger Jason Baker said. “We plan to soak in the beautiful nature that surrounds us, get soaked with some awesome water games, and soak in some amazing information about water. The week will be filled with science experiments, rich history, nature studies, and team building.”
