Hays Library Closing on Sundays
The George P. Hays Library, building 411, has started closing on Sundays.
Closing on Sundays is necessary to ensure that the library is fully staffed to provide a high level of service for patrons on the library's other days of operation.
Library hours are from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday -Thursday; and from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The library is closed on federal holidays.

Wild Adventures Trip Signup Deadline
The registration deadline is Sept. 8 for a Leisure Travel Services trip Sept. 11 to Valdosta, GA, to Wild Adventures Amusement Park. There are thrill, Family, kids, and water rides, plus animals and shows. Cost $40 per person includes transportation and theme park admission. Automotive Care for Youth
The EDGE program and Libby Auto Craft Center on Fort Stewart are offering youth in grades 6-12 a three-day auto care class.
The class-scheduled Sept. 9, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23 from 4:15-6 p.m.-will offer instruction in how to change oil, rotate tires, check vehicle safety features and more.
Participating youth must be registered with CYSS (767-2312). The classes are free and transportation will be provided by CYSS. For more information, call 767-1341.

Hunter GC Golf Scramble
The Hunter Garrison Commander's 4-person Golf Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Sept. 10 at Hunter Golf Club. The event will accept the first 25 teams. Register your team by Sept. 9.
The cost is $35 for Taylors Creek and Hunter Golf Club Members, Active Duty, Retirees, and Army Civilians, $45 for civilian guests.

Community Showcases and Travel Shows at Hunter, Stewart
Hunter Club, building 6015, will be the site of the Community Showcase and Travel Show from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. Youth Fishing Event at Hunter
Youngsters can have fun and catch a few big ones during the Kid's Fishing Event at the Hallstrom Lake Outdoor Recreation Area from 8-11 a.m. on Sept. 11.
Limited poles and bait will be available, and DPW, Fish and Wildlife will set up a fish-cleaning station from 8:30-11 a.m. There will be snacks, drinks and door prizes. Event is free for children of Soldiers and Families ages 15 and under.

Chocolate Milkshake Day at Corkan
Corkan is celebrating Chocolate Milkshake Day with a special on Sept. 11. Dog Training Class at Stewart, Hunter
Registration closes Sept. 10 for six-week dog obedience classes that begin Sept. 14 at Stewart and Hunter locations. Register at Stewart's Pet Boarding Facility, building 8324.
Space is limited, so sign up now. Fees are $120 for adult dogs, $70 for the puppy course, and $10 for the trail course. Vaccines are required.
