For some parents, the main driver in picking a baby name is a car.

Yahoo managing editor Justin Hyde researched Social Security Administration data for registered newborns to see what the most popular baby names in 2014 were based on car names. Some like Lincoln and Bentley were the most popular among the thousands of babies named after cars.

This isnt necessarily a new trend, either. Laura Wattenberg, founder of BabyNameWizard, a popular baby name website, told Yahoo that parents have looked to their cars for baby names for decades.

You do see a lot of luxury brands cross the line onto baby names, Wattenberg told Yahoo. Any kind of brand associated with a lifestyle, like Armani or Prada an obvious place to look is things you like and admire.
