Some parents say its the little things their babies do make messy diapers, spill drinks and cry at night that matter most.

Independent cartoonist Brian Gordon wanted to prove that fact through art.

In an ongoing comic series called Fowl Language, Gordon illustrates the days of early parenting with humorous cartoons between a father duck and his young baby duck. Most of the photos are sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek takes on early parenting.

Gordon, a father of a 4- and 7-year-old, told BuzzFeed that his own parenting experiences inspired the comics.

I maybe went into parenting with unrealistic notions of how immediately rewarding it would be, he told BuzzFeed. But its those tiny moments when your kid just wants to hold your hand or falls asleep on you that make all the tedium and frustration fade away.
