Liberty Countians could get free groceries provided by the United Way of the Coastal Empire Liberty County office Thursday at Dorchester Academy near Midway.
Volunteer Alan Darsey said the Emergency Food Assistance Program would give away enough food for 500 families.
United Way Liberty office administrative assistant Kathy Lancia explained the only requirement to qualify for the food give-away was the number of people in the family. She said the drive began at 11 a.m. and would continue until the food ran out.
