The fourth annual Walthourville Lighting of the Tree Celebration will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday at city hall.
Besides the city tree lighting there will be refreshments, gifts and the opportunity for pictures with Santa and a pony.
Speakers will include the invocation from Pastor Richard Hayes with New Day Community Church, welcome by Mayor Daisy Pray, words from the county by Commissioner Connie Thrift, “Reason for the Season” by Agape Christian Fellowship Church Pastor Daisy Edwards and closing remarks by Police Chief Tracy McFadden.
Enteratinment will include a skit by Godly Grannies, selections by Emmanuel New Covenant Church Choir, Talented & Educated Leading Ladies, Baconton M.B.C. Youth Choir and Dreams First.
