Liberty County employee Annie Torres made a donation for a worthy cause Nov. 6.
Torres has been growing her hair out for two years to donate it to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to children under age 18 who suffer long-term hair loss from any type of medical diagnosis and are also financially disadvantaged. Hair that is donated must be at least 10 inches in length.
Her granddaughter, Larissa Scott, age 6, donated to Locks of Love in March. Torres said she and her granddaughter plan to donate again, together, when their hair has grown out. For more information on how to donate, visit www.locksoflove.org
