3rd ID celebrates Thanksgiving overseas
3rd Thanksgiving in Poland
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Marcus Maxey, a communication specialist for the commanding general, leads a prayer for the Thanksgiving luncheon at Forward Operating Site Boleslawiec, Poland

Soldiers assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, currently deployed to forward operating sites in Poland and the Baltic states, enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner during a holiday celebration. In addition to the meal, soldiers participated in sporting events such as Turkey Trot fun runs and football games called Turkey Bowls. The Turkey Bowl is an annual U.S. Army tradition that helps to boost morale and camaraderie among the troops during the holiday season.

The 3ID’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
