Amanda Cox, a Liberty County native who was mayor pro-tem of Allenhurst, has died, according to Liberty County Coroner Reginald Pierce.
Officials said she was found Wednesday night when deputies went to her home in Allenhurst to check on her well-being. It was unclear who had asked the sheriff’s department to check on her.
No foul play is suspected.
