What issues are most important to you and why?

Jobs - Industry: Economic activity concerned with the processing of raw materials and manufacturing of goods in factories. (Good paying jobs with benefits). This is needed to help support and sustain the new growth and development. (Pay taxes, buy homes, shop at stores and restaurants).

Infrastructure: The basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society. This is needed to support the new growth, building, and development; building, roads, and power supply systems.

All to increase revenue and reduce the tax burden.


What makes you the best candidate to serve the city council?

I am connected with the constituents in District 5 and the City of Hinesville. (Boots on the ground). I am a product of the environment, a survivor. I listen to the concerns of the people and I will respond to those concerns. Real talk about real issues! I will be the voice for all of the citizens in District 5 and Hinesville. Not just the fortunate few. I will get results. “Not perfect, but prepared”


Why run for office now? What needs to be accomplished by the city officials that is not being done now?

Why not run now? There is a void that needs to be filled. I am the man for the job! Fair and Equal Governance for all of District 5 and the City of Hinesville. Common sense growth and development. Support and encourage locally owned, small and MWBE businesses. “Transparency and accountability.” Increase revenue and reduce the tax burden through industry and economic access.


How long have you been a resident of the city? Twenty-one years.


Your age, professional/educational background, and public service/volunteerism?

I am 59-years old. In 2008 I received my State of Georgia General Contractor License - Commercial & Residential. I am a Veterans Administration Approved Contractor. I am a Support Contractor for the Federal Government-Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. I graduated from Long County High School, Class of 1978.

Certified Trainings from State and Federal Agencies. Multiple Specialty Certifications in Commercial and Residential Construction. Annual Continued Education as required by the State of Georgia Licensing Board.

Public Service and Volunteerism: Member of Grace Place Ministries, Ludowici, Ga., where I serve as Chairman of the Deacon Board; Co-Chairman of the Kirk Healing Center for the Homeless Board of Directors; Supporter of the Liberty County Manna House; Supporter of the Homeless Coalition; Bradwell Institute Band Booster/Supporter; Long County E-Z Riders Horse Club Member-Annual Supporter of Liberty County Back-to-School Rally; Donate to Relay for Life, March of Dimes, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital; Member of Fort Valley State University Alumni Association.

I am a concerned citizen; I care about all of the citizens in District 5 and the city of Hinesville.
