Authorities looking into Thursday night shooting at mobile home park

Law enforcement officers work the scene of a shooting Thursday night that sent one man to a Savannah hospital for treatment.

A Hinesville man was shot and wounded at a Hinesville mobile home park on Thursday night, according to authorities.

 

Law enforcement officials said the man was shot in the hip inside the Victory Mobile Home Park on the 1100 block of South Main Street around 7:40.

 

The man was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. This marks the sixth shooting in the past two months.

Hinesville police continue to look for the culprit after a shooting incident Thursday afternoon.

Shots rang out Thursday afternoon in a Hinesville apartment complex, damaging several vehicles. No injuries were reported.

The shots were fired shortly after 3:30 p.m. at the entrance to Eagle apartments on Darsey Road.

Hinesville Police Chief Tracey Howard said the assailant appeared to be firing at a group of people outside the complex’s entrance. Howard said several vehicles sustained bullet holes.
