Avery named LCSS Teacher of the Year

Sheryl Avery, ninth and tenth grade literature and English composition teacher at Liberty County High School, was named district Teacher of The Year during the 2021 Teacher of the Year celebration dinner Nov. 7 at Bradwell Institute.  

Avery’s response to winning the honor?

“I have always sought the opportunity to change the world. Being a teacher means reaching the younger generation, and this also means reaching future generations who will one day become our leaders in an ever-changing society,” she said.
