UPDATE: According to Fort Stewart Public Affairs Officer Kevin Larson, strong winds affected structures on Evans Army Airfield shortly after 6:30 pm Thursday. Evans Army Airfield is located on Ga 144 East, it is the route used to go to Richmond Hill.

Larson said a half-dozen Soldiers received minor injuries and were treated on scene and released. 

Liberty County EMA Larry Logan confirmed in an email Friday morning that straight line winds were determined to  have caused the incident.
