The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce was recently notified about a company sending emails to its members proclaiming them winners in the Best of Hinesville Awards. This is not an actual award being produced locally and is in fact an effort to get local business people to pay for a trophy that they may or may not receive. Please be aware this is a scam in case you receive such an email.

The chamber's offices will close at 3 p.m. today and re-open Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. following the Labor Day holiday
