Tia A. Gonzalez, a Bradwell Institute High School Alumni, class of 2019 has been actively pursuing educational and employment opportunities in her field of studies. This past May 2021, she completed her Associate of Arts Degree in the field of Foreign Language from Middle Georgia State University.
While in her fall semester at college, Tia took an Oath of Enlistment into the U.S. Army under the delayed entry program in which she elected to finish out her college education first then enter the Military.
Tia graduated from Middle Georgia State University with Honors and was designated a Dean’s List Scholar.
On 5 Aug. 2021, Tia completed 10 weeks of tough, realistic Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, SC. She entered her military training phase with the rank of Private First Class that she earned initially with her college credits. She will finish up with her Advance Individual Training at Ft. Gordon, GA. where her Military Occupational Specialty is in the field of the Signal Corps as an Information Technology Specialist.
Once completed with her Advance Individual Training, she will be assigned to a permanent duty station anywhere around the globe as a Soldier. Tia will continue her education while in the Military to achieve and complete her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Foreign Language.
Tia is an inspiration for the now generation that’s willing to put in the time, hard work and effort to be successful. Anything is possible if you are determined, committed and motivated to be all you can be. Tia is very grateful and appreciative to all her mentors who molded her to become ambitious and successful in her life’s goals.
Tia’s parents, Carlos and Darlene Gonzalez are very proud of their Daughter’s success and accomplishments and they also supported her decision to enlist in the Military to become a SOLDIER.
