Thirty Bradwell Institute students have been selected to participate in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, a national high school leadership program empowering students to make an “Impact Through Action.”
Students are: Olivia Archer, Ciara Hamlin, Brisa Portillo, Breyanna Ayala, Amauri Jester, Gabriella Randolph, Jade Barnes, Lucas Kratochvil, Amaris Riley, Briana Battle, John Lachowsky, Hillani Sanchez, Adriana Brown, Lionel Lawson, Lexi Schaeffer, Jeshua Contreras, Teleke Lockhart, Logan Tenorio, Jordyn Conyers, Tristan Marshall, Elyjah Thurmon, Sanai Coprick, Erica Mock, Amirah Trim, Emily Cullura, Sierra Pinheiro, Eboni Underwood, Ethan Griffith, Jahdai Prince, and Anastasia Williams. The teacher leader is Clint Murphy.
The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy will be partnering with Bradwell Institute to provide virtual and in-person curriculum opportunities that teach students important leadership skills to help them make a difference in their community. Through a year-long curriculum, students learn leadership principles like teamwork, communication, and innovation by engaging in monthly “Leader Labs.” These principles are put into practice when the students plan and execute an Impact Project, benefiting their local community, such as a fundraiser for a local homeless shelter or a canned food drive for a local food bank. The students learn about leadership in the classroom and they live it out by serving and making an impact.
“We place a great deal of emphasis on building leaders in Liberty County Schools,” said Superintendnet Dr. Franklin Perry. “We appreciate this partnership with Chickfil- A and are very proud of these student leaders.”
