On Aug. 30, the Hinesville Narcotics Unit, Fort Stewart Drug Suppression Team and Liberty County Narcotic Unit raided the Big Apple Strip Club located in Hinesville off of Oglethorpe Highway.

Over 20 officers were involved in the raid, which led to the arrests of Big Apple employees Asha Sanders and Savannah Stokes. During the search marijuana, cocaine, and ecstasy pills were found in different locations in the building.

Asha Sanders was charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine and one count of the sale of an imitation controlled substance. Savannah Stokes was charged with one count of the sale of an imitation controlled substance. 

According to police reports, in May the HPD received complaints about narcotics activities with employees and patrons at the nightclub. The complaints led to an investigation which later led to the obtaining of a search warrant. 

The club was also found in violation of city ordinance 12-167 that prohibits nude entertainment in establishments that serve alcohol. Owner Sun Yang was cited for the violations.
