Bradwell Institute will soon begin the search for a new principal because Scott Carrier is retiring at the end of the school year.
According to the Feb. 14 Liberty County Board of Education meeting minutes, Carrier was listed among 22 staff members resigning. Carrier said he tendered his resignation so he can retire after the school year.
He’s been principal at Bradwell for seven years. Before that Carrier was principal at Frank Long Elementary. He has been in education for 34 years, 33 of them with the Liberty County School System.
Carrier’s was the highest profile name among those on the list.
The BoE voted to accept the recommendations.
The list of those who tendered their resignations may be found on the school system’s website in the minutes for the Feb. 14 meeting.
