Christian Presley of Long County High School’s NBA 2K25 team BlueK25 is no longer undefeated. Ranked number two in the state, he took on the top ranked Brunswick Pirates on Wednesday, October 23.
Presley usually uses the Boston Celtics, but due to center Kristaps Porzingis being hurt in real life, he was not available in the game, forcing Presley to switch to the Indiana Pacers.
Presley had a 14-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and looked to keep his win streak going, but he fell behind 29-24 at the half and eventually when down by as much as 12 points in the third quarter.
Down 44-37 going into the fourth quarter, Presley went on an 8-3 run to make the score 47-45. He tied the game and just missed a last second layup at the buzzer as the game went into overtime.
He dropped the first game 64-56 in overtime and looked to tie the series up in the second.
He fell behind 12-9 going into the second quarter, but started going on a run in the second quarter. He eventually outscored his opponent 11-0 to go up 20-12.
His opponent went on a 9-2 run to make the score 22-21 at the half and it was a close game from then on. Presley led 33-30 going into the fourth.
With a four-point lead in the final minute, Presley allowed a 6-0 run as he fell 46-44 in the second game.
With the loss, Presley is now 4-1 on the year and ranked number 7 in the state. He was back in action on Wednesday, October 30.
