Bradwell Institute high school senior Bailey Gilmore was recently awarded the Distinguished Gifted Teen Award by the Georgia Association for Gifted Children (GAGC). This award recognizes a Georgia high school student who has demonstrated giftedness, dedication, creativity and a desire to help others.

Gilmore serves as president of her senior class as well as president of the Bradwell chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Through membership in the Bradwell Beta Club and the National Honor Society, she has found ways to give back to her community through volunteering and raising money for various charities.

Gilmore also has played basketball as a Lady Tiger for all four years of high school and has served as team captain during her junior and senior years.

Gilmore has signed a letter of intent to play basketball and attend Vanderbilt University.

“We are very proud to have Bailey represent Liberty County School System as the GAGC Distinguished Teen. Miss Gilmore is a trailblazer and will positively impact all whom she encounters. We look forward to seeing what her future brings,” said Lela Stokes Dickens, Gifted and Talented (GATE) Coordinator for Liberty County Schools.

Gilmore will be acknowledged with a plaque presented at the annual Georgia Association for Gifted Children Convention, a certificate of recognition from the GAGC President, and $500 scholarship.
