BREAKING: Tornado warning issued

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a tornado warning for portions of Liberty and Long counties until 3 p.m.

At 2:23 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Doctortown, moving northeast at 55 mph.

Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is likely.

Locations impacted include: Hinesville, Ludowici, Fort Stewart, McIntosh, Walthourville, Midway, Riceboro, Flemington, Allenhurst, and Gum Branch.
