Attorney finishes bank director course
Jeff Arnold 2003
Jeff Arnold
Jeffery Arnold, a director for The Heritage Bank, recently graduated from the Community Bankers Association of Georgia's Bank Directors' College, a part of the Community Bankers University.
Bank directors and CEOs participated in graduation ceremonies after three sessions in three locations throughout the state.
The sessions covered bank charters, types of regulatory examinations, a regulator's review of directors' responsibilities, director liability, capital alternatives, board committees, FDIC deposit insurance and other financial industry hot topics. Participants had an opportunity to learn from representatives of the regulatory agencies, top consultants and executives in the financial services industry.
Arnold was elected to Heritage’s board of directors in March 2002 and is a partner in the Hinesville law firm of Arnold, Stafford,
and Randolph. Arnold serves as a major general in the U.S. Army Reserves, and he currently serves on the Department of Army staff at the Pentagon in the office of the G-1. The office of the G-1 is responsible for all personnel actions and policy relating to and affecting soldiers.
"Jeff's business acumen, his commitment to public service, his commitment to many important local organizations and his high ethical standards fit well with our bank's focus and way of doing business," said James M. Floyd Jr., Heritage president and CEO. "This training he received at bank directors' college along with his enthusiasm and active nature will make him an even more valuable bank director."
The Heritage Bank operates 30 branches and 38 ATMs throughout Southeast Georgia. Branch offices are located in Blackshear, Brunswick, Darien, Fort Stewart, Hinesville, Homerville, Jesup, Kingsland, Ludowici, Midway, Nahunta, Pembroke, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Savannah, Statesboro, St. Marys and Waycross.
