Bank hosting public document shredding

The Heritage Bank will offer a secure way to destroy confidential records and information with a free community shred day from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in the bank parking lot at 300 S. Main St., Hinesville. “Shred It and Forget It” is open to the public.
Residents can bring personal documents for secure, onsite shredding. Acceptable items include paper materials such as bank/credit card statements, checks, deposit slips, bound and stapled paper and all types of office paper. Unacceptable items include metal clips, binders, cardboard boxes, hazardous waste, trash, paper towels, plastics, glass, aluminum, and computer hardware.
ShredEx, a secure, document-destruction company, will be on hand to ensure documents are handled safely and securely. Team members from The Heritage Bank will assist with unloading boxes and bags from vehicles. For more information, call 1-800-624-6452.
