Jeff’s Candy Kitchen and Bake Shoppe hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration Nov. 22  in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
Owner Jeff Davis welcomed family, elected city officials, customers, chamber staff, ambassadors, members and people from the community.
“I think I gave out about 30 pounds of chocolate to friends and family last year. That is when I decided to make this passion profitable,” Davis said.
He went on to share his love for creating new candy combinations with the help of his wife, Vicki Davis. Jeff Davis began his journey some 20 years ago by making chocolate candy to fulfill his niece’s request.
Jeff’s Candy Kitchen and Bake Shoppe offers handmade specialty confections made on-site using all-natural ingredients. In addition to the specialty confections, Davis has started a line of flavored syrups that can be added to beverages and recipes.
Hinesville Mayor Jim Thomas said he enjoys having a candy shop near city hall and plans to visit it frequently.
He went on to commend Jeff’s Candy Kitchen and Bake Shoppe for its community support, focusing on its contributions within the downtown Hinesville business district.
The shop is accepting special orders for the holiday season. Some of its product offerings include “My Favorite Brownies,” “The Nutty Blonde Brownie,” caramels, assorted hand-rolled truffles, caramel corn, toffee, fudge, caramel apples, chocolate nut clusters and more.
“We welcome you to the chamber,” Executive Director Leah Poole said. “We are here for you and support your new business.”
The shop is at 112 S. Commerce St. in downtown Hinesville.
