The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Anthony Burns, a newly elected board member who also serves as the engineering supervisor for Georgia Power. So far, Burns has served on several Chamber committees, including membership development, marketing and Bicycle Ride Across Georgia.
He originally is from Tarrytown, a small town in Montgomery County. He has lived in Liberty County for the past four years with his wife, Paige, and their three sons, Walker, Mitchell and Camden. Burns and his wife named their sons after Georgia counties. His dog, Libby, also is named after a county.
“Community is my favorite thing about Liberty County; the diverse collection of people easily accept others and encourage everyone to participate in making the community better,” said Burns.
During his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, biking and camping. He also volunteers a lot of his free time with other organizations such as the United Way, Keep Liberty Beautiful and others.
