HABR hears about challenges to real estate

Hazel Hendrix of Century 21 in Statesboro and the Georgia Association of Realtors Region 9 director talked about the challenges and issues in the real estate industry at the monthly Hinesville Board on Realtors meeting on April 16 at the Celebration Castle in Long County.
Included in the presentation was information on the current negative news media coverage and its effect on the housing market.
Lori Versele was introduced as the new association executive for the board.
Kathy Villafane of Realty Executives discussed the plans for the Relay for Life participation as well as the HABR golf tournament benefiting the American Cancer Association Relay for Life.  The tournament was postponed until June 7 by rain. Many prizes will be up for grabs, include a Harley Davidson motorcycle, Dell computer and Bose Music System.  Anyone interested in participating can contact Edward Milan at 610-1158 or Edith Dawson at 977-4491.  
Jeanne Evans of Coldwell Banker received her Graduate Realtor Institute pin. GRI is a designation earned by completing a 90-hour course in real estate.
