The Heritage Bank has announced the expansion of its board of directors.
Eight new directors were appointed to serve on the bank board during the April meeting. They include Barbara S. Smith of Riceboro, Richard E. Larson of Blackshear, Hugh M. Thompson Jr. of Blackshear, John W. Langdale III of Valdosta, William S. Wall Jr. of Blackshear, William M. Whittington of Jesup, Carey B. Jones of Jesup, and C. Joel Osteen of Hinesville.
The addition of these directors is a strategic effort to provide board representation in more of the bank’s service areas, bank President and CEO James M. Floyd Jr. said.
“Our new board members bring a comprehensive business background to our board,” Floyd said. “We are honored that they will be serving on our board and are confident that their experience and leadership will greatly aid The Heritage Bank in continuing its strong commitment to providing quality service to our clients.”
Established in Hinesville in 1911, Heritage has total assets of $396 million and operates 25 branch offices in communities throughout Southeast Georgia, in Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Ware and Wayne counties.
