The recent announcement that 135 Applebee’s restaurants will be closed does not include the one in Flemington. Dine Equity Inc., parent company for Applebee’s and IHOP franchises, announced the nationwide closings earlier this month. But the nationwide closures will not affect the local Applebee’s, which is owned by Apple American Group, a subsidiary of Flynn Restaurant Group.
