During Thursday's People Through Progress Luncheon hosted by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce, outgoing Hinesville Mayor Tom Ratcliffe spoke with guests about making Hinesville "the southern living, community of choice in coastal Georgia for a day or for a lifetime."
As part of the comprehensive plan for Hinesville, Ratcliffe said he and the city council recently collaborated on a preliminary list of goals for the city to attain to create a brighter future for both residents and the business community.
According to the mayor, those goals include creating a safer and cleaner environment, providing more opportunities for young people, maintaining a strong relationship with Fort Stewart and building a more viable link between the public and private business sectors.
