Homes for Heroes recently named Lisa Scales with Keller Williams Realty Coastal Area Partners its No. 2 realtors affiliate nationwide in 2013, based on number of heroes served.
Scales, an associate broker who is married to a retired soldier and has three children, has helped many military families buy and sell real estate throughout Coastal Georgia. In March 2013, she joined the Homes For Heroes program as a local affiliate. Since then, she has given more than $50,400 in home rebates and discounts to her clients.
Homes for Heroes aims to help close the gap between the cost of housing for military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, first responders and others who serve their communities and the nation.
A partnership of realtors, mortgage lenders, title companies and other service providers created Homes for Heroes. This collaboration of professionals’ mission is to provide savings during the real-estate process. With more than 1,300 affiliates in 49 states, Homes for Heroes has saved its clients more than $4.8 million when buying, selling or refinancing homes.
