The Leadership Liberty class of 2013-14 is organizing a fundraiser for Senior Citizens Inc. through the Ruby Tuesday GiveBack program.
The event will take place on Friday-Saturday, May 16-17. Anyone who eats at Ruby Tuesday on either day and brings the Ruby Tuesday Senior Citizens Inc. fundraiser flier with them can help contribute. Ruby Tuesday will make a donation of 20 percent of total sales to Senior Citizens Inc. Participants must have the fliers with them and present them to their server.
“We hope that through the funds raised, we will be able to help provide some necessary amenities to the seniors at the Liberty Activity Center,” class President Amanda Scott said. “We appreciate Ruby Tuesday’s commitment to giving back to the community and providing us with the opportunity to participate in this program.”
“We are so proud of the Liberty County Senior Activity Center because it is a true success. The community plays an active role in supporting it and being involved and it shows,” said Patti Lyons, president of Senior Citizens Inc. “Great work is done at the center, but also great fun. The seniors of Liberty County are so fortunate that their community supports them and this home away from home.”
Fliers can be downloaded from the media player at left or picked up at the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau offices at 425 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. For more information, call Scott or Anita Hughes at 368-4445.
