The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday for Liberty Cardiology Associates at 600 East Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville.

Liberty Cardiology Associates is a medical practice that focuses on the care of patients with heart disease requiring medical and/or surgical interventions.

“Heart disease is our nation’s No. 1 cause of death, said Liberty Regional Medical Center CEO Mike Hester. “It is now possible for us to better achieve our goal of preventing and treating heart disease by providing our community with the resources necessary to achieve the best health outcomes possible.”

Those on hand to welcome Dr. Gary Elkin and Liberty Cardiology Associates included Chamber/CVB CEO Leah Poole, Hinesville Downtown Development Authority spokesperson Crystal Caines and Liberty County Board of Commissioners Chairman Donald Lovette.
