Jim Woods and his staff at Midway IGA got first place in the Labels for Learning for Education competition sponsored by Cambell’s Soup. Woods presented the 50,000 points his store earned to Liberty Elementary School. Each label is worth two or three points. Wendy Chenevert coordinates the Cambell’s Soup labels campaign at Liberty Elementary, where each label’s points are added up and traded in for learning materials such as computers, cameras and books.
Chenevert invited the public to participate in the program by donating Campbell’s soup labels. For more information, call Chenevert at 884-3326.
LES Principal Chris Anderson said he, his staff and students were grateful to Woods for his generosity and kindness.
