Mystery company plans large center

MACON — Government records indicate that a mystery company is planning to build a distribution center that would be one of the largest in central Georgia.

The Telegraph of Macon reported that the company known only as “Project Circle” plans to build a 960,000-square-foot building in the I-75 Business Park in Bibb County. Such names allow companies looking to locate in Georgia to remain anonymous.

Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission documents don’t say how many jobs are expected, but indicate that the distribution center will be designed to have 194 employee parking spaces.

The planning and zoning commission is scheduled to consider a conditional use permit for the facility at its May 29 meeting.
