Poole’s Deli hosted a ribbon-cutting Dec. 15 in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the restaurant’s 20th year in business.
Owner Susan McCorkle welcomed family, staff, chamber staff, board members, ambassadors, members and people from the community.
“It has been an amazing 20 years here,” McCorkle said. “Thank you to my friends, family, staff and loyal customers for your continued support.”
She went on to introduce her family members, who represent three generations of hard work and dedication to the family business.
Poole’s Deli specializes in daily offerings of breakfast and lunch and provides Southern, home-style cooking.
The restaurant created the “breakfast in a cup,” a well-known meal to locals who frequent the restaurant for their morning energy.
“Thank you for being a dynamic member of the chamber,” said Kevin Thomas, chairman of the chamber board of directors. “We value your business and congratulate you on your 20 years of success.”
Guests were invited to mingle while sampling treats and a turkey and dressing lunch.
Poole’s began as a grocery store, evolving into the busy eatery that it is today. It also offers catering, group meals, children’s meals, fundraisers and takeout.
The restaurant is at 406 S. Main St. in downtown Hinesville.
