Homes for Heroes, a company affiliated with realtors, lenders and other real estate service providers, facilitates rebates and discounts for military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, first responders and others who serve communities and the nation. The program is now available in Hinesville.
Homes for Heroes, which was created nine years ago, was inspired by hometown heroes who serve and protect others, according to company officials.
Homes for Heroes spokeswoman Katie Blackwell said she has been working to distribute information about the program to soldiers returning from deployment. “We are ramping up quickly to align with the debriefing and reintegration initiatives at several military bases in anticipation of the large amount of returning troops,” Blackwell said.
Homes for Heroes founding member Ruth Johnson said, “We all share an admiration for the people who serve our community and our nation selflessly and we wanted to recognize and show our appreciation in a meaningful way.”
