The Rusty Pig restaurant in Hinesville officially closed Sept. 22. The Courier reached out to their corporate office, but they had not responded by press time.

An employee seated in the parking lot Thursday said the building was now for sale.

The Rusty Pig locations in Glennville and Rincon remain open.

Cars packed the parking lot as diners, looking to get one last bite of their famous loaded Bar-B-Que fries, packed the eatery during their final work day Sept. 22.

The restaurant which was located on Veterans Highway opened in March 2015. It was recently featured in the 2017 Georgia culinary guide, Georgia Eats, in June of this year.
